Wow. From one leukemia survivor to another... thank you for this incredible story. Stoked to have stumbled across you (found you on Reddit!) and to see a fellow survivor making something of this awesome thing called life :D
Welcome! And what a find. One day I'll drop a link on the r/leuk subreddit, but I always bail. I've got you with a sub-- always happy to connect with cancer folk and spread the good word. Glad you're doing well and thanks for reading! Excited to follow along with your story.

I didn't know there was a subreddit for that though I don't know if I could emotionally handle visiting too often.
I assumed that’s where you found me! But yeah it’s cool and people are genuinely helpful but it can be a lot to take in over time.
I think it was a 'How to Grow Your Substack' post and I was shocked at the cosmic coincidence someone was posting who also had leukemia, haha.
What a beautiful love story, Elliott! You and your wife are lucky to have found each other. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks so much for reading!
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing. (And for recommending Cancer Culture.) Your wife sounds like someone I would really like to work with. 💕
She’s going to love that compliment.
Lovely! I'm glad to hear that something so painful led also to something so joyful.
Sometimes you get lucky. Thanks for reading!
Thank you for writing and sharing this. It's a good one. Glad for your silver lining-- and that it continues.
Thank you and thanks for reading!
Emily sounds like a lovely woman. And yet, the most important question somehow went unasked through this entire essay....can she pass serve???
I mean, wouldn’t be hard to pass better than me.
My postpartum emotional self could barely read the lines through the tears. Beautiful writing about fate and love ❤️
Thanks Kelsey. And sorry for the tears
